How to Install Pritunl on Kali Linux Latest

Pritunl is a virtual private network (VPN) server software that allows you to create and manage your own VPN server. In this tutorial, we will be showing you how to install Pritunl on Kali Linux Latest.

Prerequisites

Step-by-step guide

Step 1: Install MongoDB

1. Open the terminal in Kali Linux and run the following command to install MongoDB:

   sudo apt-get install mongodb
   

2. After the installation is completed, start the MongoDB service:

   sudo systemctl start mongodb
   

3. Enable the MongoDB service to start at boot:

   sudo systemctl enable mongodb
   

Step 2: Install Pritunl

1. Add the Pritunl repository key:

   sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv 7F0CEB10
   

2. Add the Pritunl repository:

   echo "deb http://repo.pritunl.com/stable/apt stretch main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pritunl.list
   

3. Update the package list:

   sudo apt-get update
   

4. Install Pritunl:

   sudo apt-get install pritunl
   

Step 3: Start Pritunl

1. Start the Pritunl service:

   sudo systemctl start pritunl
   

2. Enable the Pritunl service to start at boot:

   sudo systemctl enable pritunl
   

Step 4: Access Pritunl Web Interface

1. Open a web browser and go to https://<server IP address>. Note: Replace <server IP address> with the IP address of your Kali Linux machine.
2. The first time you access the Pritunl web interface, you will be prompted to set up a new admin user account.
3. Once you have created the admin user account, you can log in and start configuring your VPN server.
