How to Install Asciiflow on Windows 10
Asciiflow is a web-based tool that allows users to create ASCII diagrams and flowcharts. Although Asciiflow is primarily a web-based tool, it is possible to use it offline by following the steps below.
Prerequisites
Before you get started, make sure you have the following:
- Windows 10
- Google Chrome web browser
Steps
- Open Google Chrome and navigate to the Asciiflow website.
- Click on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the browser and select "More tools" > "Create shortcut...".
- Check the box "Open as window" and click "Create".
- A new window should open. Click on the three dots again and select "More tools" > "Developer tools" (or simply press Ctrl + Shift + I).
- In the window that appears, click on the "Application" tab.
- Locate the "Cache Storage" section on the left-hand side of the window and click on it.
- Click on the URL for Asciiflow to display its contents.
- Right-click on the URL and select "Save as..."
- Save the file to your preferred location (e.g. desktop) and rename the file to something recognizable (e.g. asciiflow.html).
- You should now be able to double-click on the saved file to launch Asciiflow offline.
Congratulations! You have now successfully installed Asciiflow on Windows 10. You can now create and save ASCII diagrams and flowcharts offline.
