How to Install openSIPS on Windows 10
openSIPS is an open source and highly scalable SIP server for real-time communications. This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing openSIPS on Windows 10.
Prerequisites

- Command Prompt
Step 1: Download openSIPS
Visit the official website of openSIPS https://opensips.org/ and go to the Downloads section. Find the Windows binary packages option and download the latest version of the OpenSIPS Server for Windows.
Step 2: Install openSIPS
- Locate the downloaded file and extract it.
- Open the
binfolder and right-click on theopensipsctl.exefile. - Click the
Run as administratoroption. - Command Prompt window will appear, press
1to create a new database schema. - Once the database schema is created successfully, press
CTRL + Zto close the Command Prompt window.
Step 3: Configure openSIPS
- Navigate to the
etcfolder in the extracted folder. - Open the
opensips.cfgfile in a text editor. - Using the text editor, locate the database configuration section.
- Update the database settings as per your requirements.
- Save the file and close the text editor.
Step 4: Start openSIPS
- Open the
binfolder where you had previously located theopensipsctl.exefile. - Right-click on the
opensips.exefile. - Click on
Run as administrator. - A Command Prompt window will appear showing the openSIPS server starting up.
