Tutorial: How to Install Jellyfin on Windows 11

Jellyfin is a free and open-source media server software that allows you to stream your media collection on a variety of devices. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to install Jellyfin on a Windows 11 PC.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that your PC meets the following requirements:

  • Windows 11 operating system installed.
  • At least 1 GB of free disk space available.
  • An internet connection to download the software.

Step 1: Download Jellyfin

  1. Open your web browser and visit https://jellyfin.org/.
  2. Click on the Download button located on the top menu bar.
  3. Scroll down and select the Windows 10 installer, which is compatible with Windows 11.

Step 2: Install Jellyfin

  1. Double-click the downloaded file to open the installation wizard.

  1. Login to Jellyfin using your newly created administrative account.
