Installing Diagrams.net on macOS
Diagrams.net (formerly known as draw.io) is a free, online diagramming tool that can be used to create diagrams like flowcharts, process maps, Venn diagrams, and many others. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to install Diagrams.net on macOS.
Prerequisites
- A Mac running macOS 10.12 or later
- Internet connection
Installation procedure
Open the Safari browser and go to https://app.diagrams.net/
Click on the “Download” button at the top of the page.
Wait for the download to complete. This should only take a few seconds.
Once the download is complete, open the Downloads folder on your Mac.
Locate the “diagrams.net-14.X.X.dmg” file and double-click on it. (The version number may vary.)
A new window opens with the Diagrams.net icon and a shortcut to the Applications folder. Drag and drop the Diagrams.net icon onto the Applications shortcut.
Wait for the installation to complete. This may take a few minutes.
Once the installation is complete, open the Applications folder.
Find the Diagrams.net application and double-click it to launch it.
And that's it! You should now have Diagrams.net installed on your Mac and be able to start creating your own diagrams.
